History

1983: Stelem founded; a company specializing in the sale of fire hydrant parts and fire hydrant restoration.
1987: Aqua Data founded; specializing in the field inspection of fire hydrants, water  main valves and wastewater collection systems, and creation of the Aqua Cad® Suite Software. 
1991: Aqua Data develops and introduces the Aqua Zoom camera into the Quebec market, built for the inspection of manholes and sewer pipes.
1995: Aqua Data completes its first international contract in the diagnosis of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems in the City of Ica, Peru.
1996: A new generation of the Aqua Cad® Suite Software is born, including the introduction of the GIS (geographical information system) for both water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
1998: Aqua Data completes its first contract for Quebec City, a forerunner to a partnership between the company and the Provincial capital.
1999: Gaz Métro Inc. purchases a 50% interest in Aqua Data and Stelem. 
1999: Aqua Data completes a diagnosis of the sewer systems in the Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth (Ontario) following the inspection of 26,400 manholes with the Aqua Zoom camera. 
2001: Aqua Data completes two major unidirectional flushing projects in the United States for Pinellas County Utilities (FL)  and in Virginia Beach (VA).
2002: To increase its presence in the United States, InfraMetrix  is created, a joint venture between Aqua Data and Malcolm Pirnie, now the Water Division of Arcadis.
2003: Aqua Data completes the development of the unidirectional flushing program for the water distribution system in the City of Boston (MA). 
2003: Gaz Métro purchases the balance of the shares of Aqua Data and becomes 100%  owner of Aqua Data. 
2004: Aqua Data completes the first integrated intervention master plan for the Borough of LaSalle (Quebec).
2004: Aqua Data begins a second mandate for the diagnosis of the wastewater collection systems for the City of Hamilton (Ontario).   
2005: The Borough of Saint-Leonard mandates Aqua Data to conduct an audit and develop an intervention master plan for its wastewater collection system.
2006:
Via its licensee InfraMetrix, Aqua Data obtains the mandate for the diagnosis of the sewer system and for the elaboration of a unidirectional flushing program in Hillsborough County, Florida.    
2006: Aqua Data obtained multiple Intervention Master Plan projects from various municipalities, which were elaborated in accordance with Le Ministère des Affaires municipales, Régions et Occupation du territoire (MAMROT) criteria.
2007: The cities of Beaconsfield & Baie-d'Urfé contract us once again for a 5-year WDS maintenance program.
2007: The City of Montreal selects once again Aqua Data for the second phase of a large-scale sewer system, for a total or 7,500 manholes and corresponding pipes.
2008: The City of Montreal selects Aqua Data for a 3-year contract to inspect their sewer system, for a total of 21,000 manholes and corresponding pipes.
2008: Aqua Data obtained a first project for the elaboration of the unidirectional flushing program for the City of Richmond Hill, On, and then, a second project for its execution of field.
2008: The City of Montreal selects Aqua Data for fire hydrant and valves inspection and diagnosis projects for various boroughs such as: Mercier/Hochelaga/Maisonneuve, Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Lachine, Outremont and LaSalle, among others.
2009: The City of Sherbrooke chooses the Aqua Cad software for the management of its infrastructures.
2009: The City of Montreal has selected the AquaModex software for investment planning.
2010: The Aqua Cad Canalis software is certified PACP by NASSCO.
